Over one half million Americans were expected to die from cancer last year.
50% of all men will be diagnosed with cancer
33% of all women will be diagnosed with cancer
Founded in 1998 by cancer survivors and their families, we offer priceless advice on navigating the healthcare system and access to resources for those battling cancer. We present awareness education to groups and individuals on early detection and screening. We also provide temporary financial support to persons undergoing cancer treatment whose income and/or expenses have been impacted by treatment.
Reaching Out Through Partnerships
This year we are focusing on education and on early detection/screening. Our goal is to maintain current levels of community outreach and to expand by reaching out to the public – especially high risk populations-through seminars, guest speaking, health fairs, support groups and peer counseling. Our vision of a collaborative partnership makes the resources, knowledge and skills of the LACE Cancer Foundation accessible to existing community organizations you may have a relationship with. We would like to be a resource through you or your organization for support and information for patients and their families. Time is precious when you are struggling with cancer and the more knowledge you have at the beginning, the better.
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate, eradicate, empower and support. The very fabric of the LACE Cancer Foundation is woven from determination and so we must forge ahead with the help of committed individuals, corporations and foundations.
