The Ladies Awareness for Cancer Education Cancer Foundation, LACE, will honor people who have made a difference in the fight against cancer at a dinner on Saturday at the Mission Inn in Riverside. The theme for Evening of Honors is “Cancer begins with can (can fight it, can survive it, can make difference).”
Dr. Edward Tyau, vice president of LACE and chief of general surgery, will be honored at the event. Standing honors will be given to doctors and nurses of Oncology and cancer survivors.
A silent auction will raise funds for future seminars. Apple Vacation has donated an eight-day Cancun all inclusive package for two valued at $5,000.
The foundation fights cancer through community involvement in education, training, research, support groups, increasing public awareness, detection and treatment.
